ABOUT

I am an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology. My experience growing up in the dance community provided me with an understanding of the ways trauma and life stressors can influence daily life. It also gave me insight into the importance of facing the things that hinder our ability to live fully.

I believe the purpose of psychotherapy is for us to find wholeness and connection through the process of exploring our thoughts and feelings from a place of curiosity and self-compassion.

As a therapist, my goal is to help guide, nurture, and empower individuals on their journey of self-exploration and in the discovery of their innate resiliency to manage and overcome internal and external barriers.

Apart from working in areas originating in developmental/complex trauma, I treat issues including but not exclusive to anxiety, depression, PTSD, and phase-of-life challenges.

I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space and prioritize individualized care by taking a multifaceted therapeutic approach rooted in person-centered and compassion-focused perspectives and trauma-informed care.

Outside of sessions, you can find me at the beach. Not on the sand, though! I love spending time in the water or on the rocks reading and connecting to the tides rolling in.

I’m Courtney! (she/her)
